Omron is seeking a highly experienced, strategic, and results-driven Senior Business Development Specialist (Sr. BDS) to support the continued growth of our Safety Services Team. This role is ideal for a seasoned Services Sales professional with a strong consultative selling background, the ability to manage complex, long-cycle deals, and the credibility to engage with senior customer stakeholders. Responsibilities: Lead and drive new business development opportunities for Safety and Advanced services within defined target geography and industries. Strong understanding of solution selling / value-based engagement with a track record of being able to execute a disciplined and consultative selling process within a large organization. Acts as an advisor to clients, understanding their unique safety needs and challenges. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders in manufacturing plants and corporate sponsors. Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to clients, demonstrating the value and benefits of the proposed safety systems. Maintain professional relationships with clients and work cross-functionally with the engineering, marketing, account management teams to devise solutions and support for Omron's local and national clients Work closely with project management teams to ensure the successful deployment of safety systems. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to meet client expectations. Communicate regularly with regional and industry sales teams to collaborate on strategic activities and successes to instill a sense of accomplishment and positive momentum behind our service sales efforts. Provide leadership and mentor other junior members of the team within the Services Sales function by sharing best practices, supporting strategic initiatives, and contributing to overall sales capability maturity. Utilize CRM to provide updates on all activities relative to those accounts you are helping develop and support. Provide monthly revenue forecast and monthly updates, including market and customer trends, along with competitive product feedback. Maintain working knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations, such as OSHA, ANSI, and NFPA Represent Omron in a professional, ethical, and socially responsible manner. Represents the Omron Guiding Principles through personal and business interactions with employees, distributors, and colleagues. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or Relevant Experience in Automation or Safety Services (e.g., EE / Mechatronics / Industrial / Mechanical ) 7+ years of experience closing orders by working with various levels of an organization from project engineers to manufacturing management to Operations Managers and Executives. Demonstrated knowledge with the following products: Safety Light Curtains, Laser Scanners, Edges and Bumpers, Mats, and Area Guarding, Interlock Switches, Monitoring Relays, and Programmable Safety Controllers. A proven track record of closing $500K+ orders by working with various levels of an organization, from project engineers to manufacturing management to Operations Managers and Executives. The ability to manage long-term sales cycles lasting up to 24 months. Experience and proficiency using CRM and other standard PC-based applications. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project. Up to 50% overnight travel The annual wage range for this role is $104,000 - $140,000 a year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. This position is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus program.
