The position is part-time, non-exempt and is located at the Overland Park campus at 8412 W. 95th St. Please see below for a full job description. Job Summary The Facilities Technician performs a variety of maintenance functions, both interior and exterior, to support operations and ministries of the church. As a member of the Business Operations Division, partners with staff and locations to assist with facility operational needs. Essential Responsibilities and Expectations Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Position-Specific Set up rooms for programing and events. Complete work orders. General maintenance and repair: Paint Sheetrock Doors Hardware Ceilings Floors Schedule repairs/projects in coordination with ministry needs. Maintain high level of appearance for church buildings and grounds. Notify Security of any security and/or safety issues. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in facilities maintenance with prior experience in building construction trades or in general building construction preferred. Physical requirements: ability to push/lift 75 pounds, climb ladders, bend at waist, kneel, climb, walk, crouch. Proven results in basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs; customer service and organizational skills; detail orientation; initiative.
