RN / Registered Nurse / Pre-Anesthesia Clinic Harborview Medical Center Pre-Anesthesia Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for Registered Nurse. Work Schedule: 87.5% FTE (35 hours per week), Day Shift, 7am 5:30pm. Department Description The Pre-Anesthesia Clinic RN is part of the outstanding Surgical Services dept. at Harborview. Pediatric and adult populations undergo surgery with the following services: General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Ear/Nose/Throat, Urology, Oral Maxillofacial, Burns, Ophthalmology, Gynecology, and Pain Service-related procedures. Nearly 18,000 surgeries are performed annually, and operate around the clock. Position Highlights The Pre-Anesthesia specialty clinic or "PAC" serves as the anesthesia home for care coordination of patients having elective surgery or procedures where Anesthesia will be providing care. Health assessment and risk stratification are used to coordinate care for optimization of medical conditions as they relate to Anesthesia. Primary Job Responsibilities We provide education and guidance around perioperative medication management, NPO guidelines and what to expect on the morning of surgery. Requirements Requires minimum two years critical care RN work experience (ED or ICU).
