Lead Receptionist Are you an energetic, customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves being the "front door" to an organization with a powerful mission? Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a Lead Receptionist to oversee front-office operations at our Hampton locationensuring every caller, visitor, and associate receives exceptional service and a warm welcome. About the Role As the Lead Receptionist, you will manage daily front-office functions, support associates and visitors, and supervise reception team members. You'll serve as a central point of coordination at one of our most mission-active siteshelping staff, community partners, and individuals with employment barriers connect to the services they need. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, people-centered professional who balances hospitality with strong administrative organization. Essential Duties 1. Supervises the functions of the 6301 and 1911 reception areas, including supervisory responsibility for the 6301 receptionist(s). 2. Greets visitors in a professional and courteous manner; issues and monitors visitor badges at reception desk; announces visitors to appropriate staff. Monitors waiting visitors for security risks; notifies Asset Protection of undesirable behavior. 3. Provides quality customer service by answering incoming calls covering a wide range of questions and inquiries such as information on donations, employment services, business enterprises. 4. Oversees intake of cash/check donations for the Coastal region using defined Finance and Development processes. 5. Responsible for the updates to the 1911 Lobby LCD Screen. 6. Serves as notary public for the Coastal region and Hampton Support Center. 7. Navigates a computerized system to address and resolve caller's issues. Uses standard screens, scripts, and procedures to handle callers' needs effectively. 8. Manages pool vehicle process for vehicles assigned to the 1911 facility. 9. Coordinates meeting logistics and support for the 1911 support center to include, but not limited to: technology support and troubleshooting, video conference setup, printing and preparing of materials, ensuring room setup. 10. Completes data entry of customer and communications information into spreadsheets (examples: visitor log, check receipt log). 11. Sorts and distributes mail for the main facility, accepts and logs deliveries; notify recipient(s) of the presence of package(s). 12. Monitors, orders, and manages inventory for C2 reception area and general admin supplies for executive support, as well as caf supplies in coordination with the Purchasing department. Supervisory Responsibilities The associate in this position has supervisory responsibility for designated associates in their department. Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance High School Diploma or GED required. 5 Years' experience in a related field and/or supervisory role in a similar field required. No professional certifications are required for this position. The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties. Associates in this position will be required to successfully pass both state and federal criminal background checks and sex offender check. Ability to operate PC, proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
