Domestic Operations Specialist A transportation and logistics organization is seeking a strong Domestic Operations professional based in the Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky market. This is a fully on-site role and an immediate hire. This is not an entry-level coordinator position. The focus is on an experienced operator who understands domestic freight execution and can confidently manage FTL and LTL operations while protecting margin and service quality. Key responsibilities include managing full-cycle domestic freight operations across FTL and LTL, executing carrier procurement and negotiating competitive rates, tracking and managing shipments from pickup through final delivery, proactively resolving service failures, delays, and claims, communicating directly with customers, carriers, and internal teams, maintaining margin integrity and ensuring profitable execution, handling high-volume shipment flow with urgency and accuracy, partnering cross-functionally with sales to support account growth and retention, and maintaining accurate updates within TMS and internal systems. Requirements include 2+ years of domestic brokerage or 3PL operations experience, strong understanding of FTL and LTL freight execution, experience operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, proven ability to negotiate with carriers and manage capacity, strong problem-solving and service recovery skills, detail-oriented with commercial awareness of margin impact, comfortable working fully onsite in Erlanger, KY, and a high accountability and ownership mindset.
