Leave Of Absence Specialist Leave Of Absence (LOA) Coordinator Duration: 6-Month Contract | Potential for Permanent Hire Location: Hybrid Portland, OR Pay: $31.25$37.50 per hour Hours: M-F, Full-Time A client of LHH Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Leave Of Absence Coordinator to manage a high volume of leave cases across Oregon. This role will focus heavily on state and federal leave programs including FMLA, ADA, OFLA, and other job-protected leave types. The ideal candidate has deep, hands-on experience navigating Oregon-specific leave regulations and thrives in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. Responsibilities Administer a high volume of employee leave cases from intake through closure Ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, OFLA, and other applicable state and federal regulations Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, and HR partners regarding leave processes and requirements Review medical documentation and coordinate accommodations when applicable Track leave timelines, maintain accurate documentation, and update HR systems Communicate approval/denial decisions, status updates, and next steps Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper payroll coordination and return-to-work procedures Maintain confidentiality and handle all sensitive information appropriately Requirements Minimum 3 years of direct experience managing LOA cases in Oregon Strong understanding of FMLA, ADA, OFLA, and Oregon-specific leave regulations Proven experience managing high-volume leave caseloads Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and in a collaborative hybrid environment Experience with HRIS or leave administration systems preferred High School Diploma or equivalent required; furthering education such as a Bachelors Degree or HR certification is highly preferred Pay Details: $31.25 to $37.50 per hour Search managed by: Ashley Armstrong Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
