The Senior Cost Accountant is actively engaged in collaboration with the Supply & Logistics team to understand production processes and impact on product costs and financial results. Additional responsibilities include expense analysis, support of audits, and other financial initiatives. Key Responsibilities Participate in closing the financial books at month-end and year-end Coordinate periodic review of product costs and facilitate update of inventory standard costs as appropriate Analyze cost variances and cost productions for review with business partners Ensure appropriate flow of system transaction to align production process Develop cost of production forecast and planning Participate in and provide feedback to production planning and scheduling to obtain low cost solutions Ensure that internal controls related to period-end reporting are followed Review and analyze period expenses and provide financial support for department managers Provide support for product cost-related projects Peer reviews and cross-training with other Finance team members Experiences/Education - Required An undergraduate degree in finance or accounting 3+ years of professional experience in a related field Required Skills Practical experience in manufacturing accounting/product costing Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Able to build and maintain excellent relationships with key internal and external contacts Experienced at effective problem-solving in unclear situations Good written and verbal communication skills Solid work ethic, sensitivity to deadlines, committed to getting the job done Unquestionable integrity Establishes and adheres to very high standards of personal and professional excellence Detail-oriented with an inquisitive mind Possesses a can-do attitude, shows initiative and maintains strong sense of urgency for critical deadlines Strong focus on "the team" is required; must be a team player who understands the value of working with others to meet team commitments and common objectives, is appreciative of the differences in people and cultures, and strives to leverage relationships Participating in internal and external audits Experiences/Education - Desired CPA or CMA is a plus Finance manufacturing experience Financial modeling Working knowledge of SAP This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $112,479.00 - $154,659.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
