Patient Access Specialist

A company is looking for a Patient Access Specialist who will support patient access to the system by collaborating with various stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Provide superior customer support to external customers and the internal sales organization Verify medical benefits and facilitate the authorization process to enable access to treatment Coordinate with providers and patients to obtain necessary authorizations and documentation related to the patient access process Required Qualifications, Training, and Education A minimum of 2 years of related health insurance experience in coverage, claims, prior authorization, or verification of benefits Preferred knowledge of medical benefits and compliance requirements for various insurance types Knowledge of HIPAA and related patient privacy laws Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software and online information systems Medical Device experience is preferred
