Job Details Location: Westerville, OH 43081 (Columbus metro area) Setting: Outpatient Care, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Assignment Type: Travel — Travel RN / Travel Nurse Start Date: April 6, 2026 End Date: April 20, 2026 Duration: 2 weeks Shift: Days, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts Hours per Week: 40 Patient Ratio: 1:2 Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,040–$2,140/week Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of PACU RN experience (post-anesthesia care / perioperative nursing) Previous charge nurse or leadership experience required Experience with Epic EMR / Epic charting system required BLS and ACLS certifications required Prior travel nursing experience preferred Valid compact or Ohio state RN license (must be in hand at submission) Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Seasonal flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Two professional references required (one from a supervisor or manager) Responsibilities Provide high-quality post-anesthesia nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the PACU setting Perform thorough pre- and post-operative assessments, patient education, and discharge planning Monitor and manage airways, pain control, sedation levels, and recovery from anesthesia Administer medications and manage controlled substances, including opioid analgesics Start and maintain IVs, perform EKGs, manage ports, and monitor hemodynamic status Implement isolation precautions and appropriate PPE per facility policy Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including surgeons, anesthesia, pharmacy, and interpretation services Float to other ambulatory sites as needed based on census Conduct follow-up post-procedure, complete medication reconciliation, and document care in Epic Participate in orientation and adhere to all compliance, credentialing, and perioperative safety requirements Ready to join our travel nursing team?
