Junior Payment Specialist

A company is looking for a Payment Specialist - Junior. Key Responsibilities: Log and track commercial invoices and payment documents in the accounting system for auditability and payment tracking Disseminate and track vouchers through Agency systems for required administrative approvals Examine invoices for legality and compliance with federal regulations and contractual provisions Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED with three years of experience in government payment processing, or eight years of directly related experience in lieu of education Experience with document control and invoice tracking Knowledge of federal payment processing policies, including the Prompt Payment Act Familiarity with federal financial management systems Ability to perform duties independently in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment
