Job Description:A project with a public-sector client is seeking a motivated and skilled application software developer to support accessibility compliance initiatives, along with the ongoing maintenance and support of existing systems. This role requires the ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as collaboratively within a team of developers with varying skill and experience levels.Special Skills:Forest Pond is seeking a senior applications developer responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining complex web-based software applications.Key Responsibilities:Collaborating with project teams to analyze and interpret user requirements and propose effective technical solutionsLeading development efforts for assigned applications and componentsApplying expertise in HTML and style sheets, particularly as related to accessibility functionality and complianceDesigning and programming user interface, business logic, database, and reporting components to meet user needsProposing database designs for review and approval by database administratorsAssisting with data migration from legacy databasesDeveloping software using technologies such as VB.NET, ASP.NET, JavaScript, XML, SQL Server Reporting Services, and SQL ServerUtilizing an integrated development environment for application developmentAdhering to established coding and database standardsUsing a DevOps platform for source code control, work item tracking, testing activities, and documentation versioningEstimating development effort required to meet project requirementsReporting work status to project managementPerforming unit and regression testing, identifying defects, and resolving issuesCommunicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersDocumenting solutions and providing mentoring and knowledge transfer to IT staff as neededPerforming other related duties as assigned recblid jd9jlfob7ntbrdt7z4du6pzpkw1e4z
