Accounts Receivable Clerk

Accounts Receivable Clerk LHH Recruitment is partnering with a construction company in Central Phoenix. This company needs a contract AR clerk to join their team for a few months. This is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, fully onsite. The hourly rate is up to $25/hr. This role will focus on billing, collections, and supporting project-based accounting functions. The ideal candidate has experience in construction or job-cost accounting and thrives in a deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and issue invoices for construction projects, including progress billing and time & materials billing Process customer payments (check, ACH, credit card) and apply payments accurately Reconcile AR accounts and resolve discrepancies Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances Communicate with project managers and clients regarding billing questions Assist with lien waivers and documentation as needed Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Support month-end closing activities Qualifications 13+ years of Accounts Receivable experience Construction industry experience strongly preferred Experience with progress billing or job-cost accounting is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour Search managed by: Cassandra Nienow Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
