Procurement Specialist

Swoon is hiring for our Global Fortune 500 Manufacturing Client in Cary, NC and this will be a fully onsite position. This is a 2-year contract to start with Benefits - Health, Dental & Vision (50% of premium is covered for contractor). Positions Contributions to Work Group This role is responsible for purchasing and establishing tooling, equipment, parts, supplies, and services necessary for operations. The Procurement Specialist is accountable for buying goods and services to support business needs while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery. Key responsibilities include: Analyzing and maintaining purchasing and quality data including purchase orders, quotations, invoices, source catalogs, material rejection reports, tooling records, and supplier performance data Implementing local or regional sourcing strategies under the direction of Procurement leadership Researching and evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, service, support, availability, and overall value Issuing RFQs, analyzing Total Cost of Ownership, and presenting sourcing recommendations to leadership Preparing purchase orders, reviewing requisitions, and soliciting bid proposals Monitoring supplier shipments and resolving delivery or quality issues Partnering with engineering teams for technical reviews and supplier alignment Typical Task Breakdown Take direction from Category Buyers and Procurement leadership Issue RFQs to suppliers Analyze Total Cost of Ownership and sourcing data Present sourcing analysis and recommendations to leadership Partner with engineering for technical reviews and supplier validation Monitor open orders and resolve delivery or quality concerns If interested in more details, please apply!
