HVAC Estimator With over 35 years of experience as a commercial HVAC contractor, Brian Cox Mechanical is passionate about leading our industry and market when it comes to providing HVAC services from beginning to end. We can truly take a "napkin" drawing from inception through design, installation, commissioning, and provide long term maintenance and service for the life of a project. We've achieved this by cultivating a talented team with the right attitude. Brian Cox Mechanical is seeking an experienced HVAC estimator with a minimum of 10 years industry-specific experience who can provide both conceptual and plan and specification bids. We are looking for someone who is extremely knowledgeable, reliable, detailed, and a good communicator both internal to the company and externally with customers and vendors. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Conceptual budgeting Design Build estimating Plan & Spec estimating Provide detailed budget & estimates Material and equipment take-offs Obtaining vendor and subcontractor quotes Incorporation of plans, specs & BOD's into estimates Review of subcontractor bids / scope of work requirements Proposal development and submission Interview as part of the team to build the project Requirements: In office work position Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be proficient with onscreen take-off programs. Quotesoft abilities a plus. Must be detail oriented, well organized and have the ability to meet deadlines, and work in a very fast paced environment Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, especially during the bid process. Proficient in the following systems: Chilled water systems VRF air cooled and water cooled Water Source Heat Pump Systems VAV Specialty (dry rooms, labs, clean rooms, etc)
