We are seeking highly qualified Locum Nurse Practitioners in California to provide vital compensation and pension exams along with separation health assessments nationwide. In this role, you will conduct interview-based assessments and physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. No prescribing or treatment is involved, making it an ideal position for experienced general medicine providers. Whether you prefer to work full days or half days, this PRN role offers flexibility to fit your schedule while making a difference. Required Skills: Active Nurse Practitioner license in California Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine Experience with compensation and pension assessments preferred Strong interviewing and physical assessment skills Ability to work independently and efficiently Excellent communication and documentation skills Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience performing Veterans examinations Familiarity with VA or government-related assessments Certification in areas such as DMA or additional medical credentials Preferred Education and Experience: Master's degree or higher in Nursing Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine or related field Prior experience with compensation & pension exams or assessments Other Requirements: Must reside within specified radius of designated locations or own an appropriate office space Availability to work on a PRN basis, with flexibility for 4-hour or 8-hour shifts Willingness to complete required training and perform initial exams to qualify for a bonus Local candidates only; travel is included in compensation Starting on February 2, 2026, earn $402 per hour, with additional bonuses for completing training and initial exams.
