Acquisition Logistics Subject Matter Expert (Sme) The acquisition logistics subject matter expert (sme) will support the afrco, and you will belong to and/or manage collaborative teams providing multi-disciplinary support to government and industry. You'll serve as a senior advisor to government and industry personnel providing a blend of operational, program management and acquisition expertise based on prior experience. The ideal applicant is a versatile self-starter, with a broad background and demonstrated ability to produce quality work. Must be comfortable in a challenging, collaborative, multi-tasking, dynamic, high-tempo, deadline-intensive environment with a flexible work schedule supporting multiple customers. This position requires on-site performance of duties in a classified environment in the bolling afb- washington dc metro area. You will be responsible for providing acquisition logistics management support expertise to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services in support of the customer's mission. In this role you will: Provide leadership, analytical support, and tactical to strategic level subject matter expertise to product support and supply chain initiatives at the organizational and depot levels of maintenance Provide support to customers in reviewing and updating dod product support and logistics policies Provide inputs for high level strategic planning, policy/process/procedures development, business process improvements, and review of compliance and development of overall performance standards Provide briefing, review, and facilitation support for customer meetings and workshops Support customer workshops and decision support sessions Provide subject matter expertise during proposal development Provide insights to readiness requirements and reporting procedures To be successful in this role, you must have: Active top secret/sci clearance Bachelor's degree 15 years of related acquisition logistics/product support experience, with at least two (2) years in a leadership position within a system program office Functional expertise in global life cycle logistics and supply chain management Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a collaborative team Thorough understanding of dod contract types, requirements, planning, execution, and monitoring Working knowledge of technical orders, configuration management, developmental and operational testing Ability to lead a collaborative team in completing complex projects Advanced microsoft office skills for word, powerpoint, excel Ability to travel up to 20% Desired: Technical or business-related master's degree Clear understanding of the joint dod acquisition and sustainment organizations at the headquarters, combatant command, and field levels When required, serve on short-term and long-term teams to deal with specific or unprecedented issues Familiarity with the dod's integrated product support element structure, definitions, and implementation dod acquisition certification (dawia) foundational level for life cycle logistics Familiarity with the requirements of the dod product support managers guidebook and the process for developing life cycle sustainment plans Experience working with microsoft access, project, and visio
