As a Security Officer - Access Control Overnights in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a tech and media location, you will support access control by greeting employees and guests, verifying credentials, managing visitor check-in, and monitoring entry points using computer-based tools. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents while providing clear communication and customer service. What You'll Do: + Provide customer service to clients, employees, vendors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and media location. + Control access at entrances and restricted areas by checking identification, issuing and/or collecting badges, managing visitor logs, and directing guests to authorized destinations. + Monitor access control systems, alarms, and cameras as assigned, documenting irregular activity and reporting maintenance issues that may impact security-related operations. + Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency services as needed and completing detailed reports. + Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or other policy violations. Minimum Requirements: + Have 1+ years of security experience. + Be at least 21+ years of age. + Customer service experience is preferred. + Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. + Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. + A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
