Buyer I General Summary: Responsible for procuring supplies and services within the scope of business' policies and procedures to support the business' manufacturing operations. Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for effective coordination of material planning and purchasing to ensure timely delivery of manufacturing product. Assures accuracy of the ERP database of suppliers of products used in a manufacturing process. Prepares orders to vendors as directed for raw materials, packaging materials, components, services, supplies, and related material/service needed for production. Checks scheduled delivery dates and makes initial contact with suppliers on late deliveries. Escalates issues and notifies appropriate personnel/management as appropriate. Specific Tasks: Manage multiple suppliers/services for production via PO placement and scheduling. Assist other Buyers with running VMI reports, Open PO Reports and Metrics Responsible for managing master data and Bill of Materials within the ERP database. Resolving AP issues for the suppliers.
