Procurement Specialist (Remote) The Procurement Specialist is responsible for providing purchasing assistance to departmental staff regarding purchasing fundamentals of organization's practices, procedures, and policies. Under minimal supervision, responsibilities include technical and professional level duties. Subject matter expert (SME) regarding the full procure to pay (P2P) lifecycle. Key responsibilities include: Actively communicates with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to represent the purchasing department in all forums (group, individual, etc.) Will prioritize, manage, and shift multiple priorities/deadlines as assigned. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Develops alternative solutions. Completes daily assigned tasks independently and accurately Guides complex purchase requisitions and purchase orders for supplies, equipment, and services. Competently use ERP solution to process orders, document order confirmations, review match exceptions, run reports, and guide end users on the appropriate use of ERP. Effectively verify pricing through Supply Chain's contract tools, including but not restricted to, contract lifecycle management (CLM), Group Buying Organization (GPO), and ERP solutions to ensure accuracy of associated purchase orders, items and invoicing. Submit supplier and item modifications through current processes and tools as identified by Procurement for corrective action in the ERP. Reviews quotes for accuracy. Achieve specific purchasing goals and metrics. May also involve assisting to improve established purchasing procedures. Responds promptly to requests for service and assistance as needed. Other requirements include: Associates degree in a relevant field of study finance, accounting, business management preferred.
