Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist

A company is looking for a Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist - Remote. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and perform all aspects of accounts receivable collection and claims reprocessing Audit and resolve accounts with credit and outstanding balances, including necessary rebilling or adjustments Respond to patient inquiries and assist with special projects as needed Required Qualifications Associates degree in Health Information Management Systems or related field with 1+ years of experience, or Coding/Billing Certification with 2 years of experience, or 5+ years of experience in healthcare billing and collections In-depth knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 Codes, Medicare and Medicaid billing rules, and insurance reimbursement methods Understanding of the claims appeal process and managed care contracts Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook
