Position Overview: Koniag Data Solutions is seeking a Fulltime Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician in support of occupational and ambulatory health care services for US Customs and Border Protection Advanced Training Center located in Harpers Ferry, WV 25425. Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) as neededTriage supportCollaborate with clinical staffAdminister first aid for minor injuries or illnessesAssist on-site RN with basic medical procedures and treatmentsPrepare patients for assessments or proceduresMaintain treatment areasDocument first aid treatment in clinical noteEvaluate individuals and provide appropriate medical treatment for minor illness or injuriesAssess the level of consciousness of a patientMonitoring vital signsResponsible for maintaining EMT license/certification according to the laws of West VirginiaInspect and maintain emergency equipment to ensure proper operating condition.Provide Heartsaver BLS and First Aid TrainingMay be required to drive agency vehicle on campus (non-patient transport)Perform other duties, as assigned. Qualifications include:High School GraduateMust have successfully completed NREMT and be licensed in West VirginiaWV EMT LicenseMinimum 1 -3years EMT experienceU.S. citizenship is required for all contractors in accordance with DHS requirementsCurrent Healthcare Provider BLS/AED Certification through the American Heart AssociationMust be willing to become an AHA Instructor for BLS and First Aid and AED within 6 months of being hiredMust be able to successfully pass a background investigation conducted by DHS CBPMust have a valid driver's license and clean driving recordMust have physical ability to lift and carry out the physical demands of the job Our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy The company is an equal opportunity employer.
