Role Description This is a full-time, on-site position for an Estimator located in Sacramento, CA. The Estimator will be responsible for evaluating project specifications, preparing quantity takeoffs, developing cost estimates, and collaborating with project teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility of bids. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing blueprints and technical documents, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing, and presenting detailed bid proposals. The role also involves assisting in cost analysis and maintaining accurate records to enhance future project planning. Qualifications Strong knowledge and experience in cost estimation, quantity takeoffs, and preparing bid proposals. Proficiency in reading and analyzing blueprints, technical documents, and industry drawings. Experience coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear proposal presentation and team collaboration. Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively. Proficiency with estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Preferred qualifications include experience in industrial and commercial construction and a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team. HCSS Heavy Bid experience is preferred.
