Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care and demonstrate proficiency in various medical practices. This role involves working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients across diverse settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and assisted living facilities.DutiesConduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to diagnose and treat various health conditions.Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on clinical evaluations.Administer medications, including injections, IV infusions, and perform procedures such as suturing and catheterization.Provide education and support to patients regarding their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, including case management and discharge planning.Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and utilize EMR/EHR systems effectively.Stay updated on clinical best practices, guidelines, and advancements in healthcare technology.SkillsCandidates should possess a combination of the following skills:Proficiency in Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar EMR/EHR systems.Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, urgent care, or hospital medicine.Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation.Familiarity with specialties such as gastroenterology, pediatrics, geriatrics, infectious disease care, behavioral health, and pain management.Ability to perform procedures like IV insertion, phlebotomy, spinal taps, and airway management.Experience with telehealth services and providing remote patient care.Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, and infection control practices.Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
