Mercer Technical Services Logistics Coordinator Mercer Technical Services (MTS), a Quanta Services company, is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Spring, TX (The Woodlands area). This role is ideal for a recent college grad who majored in Supply Chain Management/Logistics or one with a background in trucking or transportation dispatch who is looking to leverage their experience in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment. This posting is intended to build a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future opportunities as business needs arise. What You'll Do Coordinate logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Communicate effectively with truck drivers, carriers, and customers to ensure smooth execution of transportation plans. Negotiate rates with carriers and service providers to achieve optimal cost and efficiency. Generate and manage shipping documentation and coordinate all aspects of the shipping process. Track shipments from origin to destination, providing updates to stakeholders and resolving any issues that arise. Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving any operational issues promptly. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management with a focus in logistics, highly preferred 0-3 year's experience in logistics, transportation, or a related field, with specific experience as a dispatcher, preferred. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to negotiate effectively and build relationships with carriers and customers. A proactive problem-solver with keen attention to detail.
