Delivery Driver Job Category: Gas Transmission/Distribution Position: Propane Delivery Driver Location: Lantana, Florida What makes us great... What you'll be working on Operating truck and delivery equipment safely to deliver propane gas. Performing pre trip and post trip safety inspections of vehicle and equipment. Documenting findings of inspections and ensuring appropriate action is taken in regards to any exceptions. Preparing and maintaining all appropriate documentation required of drivers by the Department of Transportation. Observing all traffic rules and practicing defensive driving techniques. Observing all company, industry, and regulatory guidelines regarding the safe operation of equipment and the delivery of propane gas. Recording deliveries, meter readings and tank percentages accurately. Checking credit status of customers prior to making deliveries when on call. Collecting payments from customers and disconnecting gas service as directed. Being sensitive to customers' situations and providing helpful assistance to resolve problems. Performing other related duties as assigned. Who you are Possess an active CDL class B. Possess a Hazmat endorsement. Have a keen sense of smell. Love working with customers and have great communication skills. Maintain truck in a safe and clean manner. Comfortable with the below hazards and working conditions: Exposure to various substances which could be hazardous if handled improperly. Assigned tasks are normally performed in field surroundings with exposure to all types of weather conditions. Benefits/what's in it for you?
