Equipment Operator Positions The City of Boynton Beach is offering positions for Equipment Operator Trainee, Equipment Operator I, Equipment Operator II, and Equipment Operator III within the Solid Waste division, starting at $15.75 to $19.32 per hour. The purpose of these classifications is to drive or operate vehicles and other equipment for solid waste removal. Equipment Operator I drives and operates vehicles for solid waste removal. Equipment Operator II drives and operates larger vehicles and specialized equipment for solid waste removal. Equipment Operator III drives and operates automated vehicles and specialized equipment for solid waste removal. Minimum qualifications vary by level, including experience in solid waste residential line of business, manual collection, and possession of a valid State of Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Additional training and certifications are required. Selected candidates will be required to complete an assessment. Effective communication, knowledge of safe working practices, and the ability to operate solid waste equipment are essential. Physical and sensory requirements include the ability to perform heavy work, communicate orally, and navigate adverse environmental conditions.
