Automation Technician Rotating 12-hour Shift

DYMC DAYTON MIX CENTER Starting base pay is $22.00 plus $2.50 shift adder once you start your rotating shift. After successfully completing probation, base pay increases to $25.50. This site operates continuously 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Mechanically skilled technicians perform various types of work, such as: Maintaining and troubleshooting automated equipment including but not limited to autonomous robots responsible for case, layer and/or pallet movements Performing preventive maintenance and calibrations on equipment Troubleshooting, monitoring, & improving equipment and systems Analyzing trends and technical data to gain insights of the equipment and systems, and identify issues proactively Building technical skills in others Able to work 12-hour shifts, schedules is a 2-2-3 bi-weekly rotation schedule. Shifts are assigned depending on business need. Day shift is 6:00am-6:30pm and night shift 6:00pm-6:30am. Technicians will work rotating shifts. Overtime may be required on weekends and/or holidays. Mechanically skilled technicians are being hired as skilled members of our warehouse operations teams. Mechanically skilled technicians are responsible for reducing equipment downtime, troubleshooting mechanical and systematic issues, eliminating defects, and building technical mastery. They focus on initiating and implementing continuous improvement projects with the goal of delivering the best product, at the lowest cost, with the highest quality, on time every time, and in a safe environment. They have mechanical technical mastery in order to successfully troubleshoot problems and to proactively improve production systems. Mechanically skilled technicians have the opportunity to become equipment area owners. This could involve creating processes and designs to improve their areas' performance. Job Qualifications Requirements to Apply: Minimum of a high school diploma/GED & 2-years of technical experience in manufacturing or like industry Applied mechanical skills in an industrial environment Knowledgeable about different types of machinery and equipment commonly used in manufacturing including various types of engines, pumps, compressors, conveyors, gears, bearings, and other mechanical components Proficiency in using a wide range of tools and instruments is essential for a mechanical technician Grasp of how various components interact within a larger system Strong technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, issue resolution, and root cause analysis for mechanical issues Interpersonal and teamwork skills Successful completion of a Technical Interview will be required as part of the application process.
