Cost Estimator This Cost Estimator will: Quote semi-complex and complex aerospace parts from customer blueprints and drawings Partner with engineering and purchasing to gather complete data for product cost estimates Perform analytical reviews of historical cost data and internal systems Identify and communicate risks to management Support and drive a culture of continuous improvement using Lean principles Lead implementation of cost estimating tools and best practices Manage RFQ lifecycle including submissions and negotiations with internal/external customers Engage directly with aerospace and DoD customer bases Track win/loss percentages for submitted quotations Review customer P.O.s to ensure compliance with internal standards Occasional travel as needed ( MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state, or local law. A successful Cost Estimator should have: 10+ years of aerospace manufacturing experience Engineering degree preferred (not required) Experience working with DCMA/DoD or similar government agencies ERP system proficiency Strong project management capabilities Ability to document, plan, and execute tasks independently Collaborative team player with strong internal/external communication skills High-visibility role reporting to executive leadership Opportunity to shape cost estimating strategy and best practices Work with major aerospace and defense customers Competitive salary range based on experience Strong benefits and long-term growth potential
