Benefit Specialist Addison Group is partnering with a well-established construction organization in the Austin area to hire a Benefits Specialist. This role will support a growing workforce and play a key part in administering and enhancing employee benefits programs. The Benefits Specialist will oversee day-to-day benefits administration and serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefit programs. This individual will work closely with HR leadership, payroll, and external vendors to ensure accurate processing, compliance, and a positive employee experience. Key Responsibilities Administer medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans Manage employee enrollments, terminations, and qualifying life event updates Coordinate and support annual open enrollment, including employee communications and system updates Partner with benefits brokers and carriers to resolve claims and eligibility issues Reconcile monthly carrier invoices and ensure accurate payroll deductions Maintain benefit data within the HRIS system and perform routine audits for accuracy Support compliance efforts related to COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, and Section 125 plans Respond to employee questions regarding coverage, claims, and plan options Assist in developing and distributing benefits-related materials and resources Qualifications 35+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR with a strong benefits focus Working knowledge of group health and retirement plans Familiarity with federal and state benefits regulations Experience with HRIS platforms and benefits administration systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Additional Details Full-time, direct hire opportunity Onsite position in Austin, TX Reports to HR leadership Opportunity to support a dynamic and growing workforce Perks Competitive compensation Comprehensive health benefits package 401(k) with company contribution Paid time off and holidays Collaborative and team-oriented work environment Career growth opportunities within a stable organization Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
