Senior Software Development Engineer

The Senior Software Development Engineer will work within an Agile Product Team to develop high-quality products for the Claims and Payments team, emphasizing user-centered design and agile methodologies. Responsibilities: • Participate in an Agile Product Team of 6-10 people and work with the team to build high-quality, usable products to customers and stakeholders in the Claims and Payments team (Aetna). • Help educate both business and technology personnel on the agile development process and create products from discovery and framing through iterative development and delivery. • Maintain a user-centered and business-as-priority approach in design perspective and practice. • Develop both frontend and backend code utilizing industry best practices delivering efficient, optimized, user friendly and reusable code. Qualifications: Required: • 4+ years of software development experience in enterprise/web applications • 4+ years of experience as full stack developer in Java-based technologies including microservices, FAST API and spring boot framework /REST • 3+ years of experience Cloud Technologies like Azure, GCP or other public cloud services and Knowledge of open-source packages especially those provided by Google • 2 + years of experience in React, React TypeScript, React JS, Python, Nodejs or other front-end frameworks; ability to develop effective engineering practices and processes with responsive UI design and development • 3+ years of experience in Agile development practices Preferred: • 5+ years, including 2+ years of leading projects • Experience with emerging cloud platform technologies such as: Google Cloud, GKE, Google DBs (Bigquery, Spanner, BigTable) or other PaaS technologies • Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills • Adept at business intelligence • Adept at collaboration and teamwork • Adept at problem solving and decision making skills • Growth Mindset (agility And Developing Yourself And Others) Skills • Bachelors degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.
