Retirement Specialist Serving as a Retirement Specialist in our PSI Distribution division, you will contribute to the growth of retirement sales by working alongside financial advisors and the sales team. You will apply your knowledge to generate leads, advise clients, and offer guidance on retirement products and solutions. Positioned at the crossroads of financial services and technology, Principal develops financial tools that help our customers live better lives. Develop and foster partnerships with financial professionals to recommend and support retirement-related services and options. Educate advisors on retirement products and provide marketing and sales support via inbound and outbound telephone communication. Identify financial professionals' needs, offer sales ideas, answer product questions, and launch new products. Offer proactive retirement sales recommendations related to multiple retirement products, including qualified and non-qualified, individual and group programs, defined contribution, and defined benefit plans. Support financial professionals by advising on the selection of fitting investment retirement products, along with investment comparisons. Direct and arrange the sales process, presenting to financial professionals via conference calls and web presentations. Undertake other job-related duties or special projects as needed, including territory backup for the Assistant Director of Retirement. Our mission, integrity, and customer focus have made us a trusted leader for more than 140 years! Who You Are: Bachelor's degree or comparable experience; 2+ years of relevant job experience. Qualified plan experience preferred. Requires extensive knowledge of retirement plan design (qualified, non-qualified, defined contribution, defined benefit, group, and individual programs), retail and institutional investment products, competitive landscape, pricing, and product knowledge as well as knowledge of ERISA and regulations or retirement plans. Outstanding oral and written communication, training, and presentation skills. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical calculation skills. Ability to work independently with minimal direction. Availability to handle inbound calls from advisors, third-party administrators, and sales reps during prime hours. Occasional travel, including overnight stays, may be required. Licenses required within 5 months of employment: SIE, Series 7, and Series 63. Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $24.21 - $32.43 / hour. Time Off Program: Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non-exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use their PTO for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Pension Eligible: Yes Location: This role is located in Des Moines, IA. Work Environment: This role offers the ability for in-office, & hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek) work arrangements. This is a hybrid position with the requirement of 3 days in the office and 2 days work from home. Management reserves the right to adjust the days required in office.
