Laboratory Manager - Microbiology

NEW Microbiology Manager Opportunity Full-Time Days No Weekends Are you a strong laboratory leader with a background in Microbiology and a passion for quality and operational excellence? We are seeking a Microbiology Manager to lead a high-performing team within a dynamic, high-volume laboratory environment. This is an exciting leadership opportunity to oversee day-to-day microbiology operations while ensuring the highest standards in patient care, compliance, and performance. What You ll Do Supervise daily laboratory technical and non-technical operations Lead hiring, onboarding, training, competency assessment, and staff development Provide ongoing coaching, performance evaluations, and accountability Ensure department goals are met in quality, service, compliance, financial performance, and satisfaction Partner with the Medical Director on policies, metrics, and operational strategy Maintain compliance with CAP, JCAHO, CLIA, FDA, and CMS standards Lead accreditation preparation efforts Oversee quality control and quality assurance programs Drive Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives Develop and implement effective team communication strategies What You ll Need Bachelor s Degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology, or Chemistry (required) National Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP or equivalent) (required) Master s Degree (preferred) Minimum 3 years of recent Microbiology Technologist experience Experience in a high-volume hospital or central lab setting Strong leadership and team management skills Stable employment history (no gaps) Why Consider This Role?
