Hematology/Oncology Physician

Job Title: Locum - Physician - Hematology Oncology Join a dedicated team at a well-established outpatient Oncology and Hematology clinic nestled in Lapeer, Michigan. This facility, a satellite of McLaren Oakland, offers an inviting work environment and a supportive practice setting. You will be stepping into a crucial role that addresses a recruitment gap and caters to a steady flow of patients while being part of a collaborative healthcare team. The position predominantly requires coverage on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Key Responsibilities: Provide outpatient clinic coverage and manage patient care. Participate in clinic call as needed. Consult with patients, providing expert hematology and oncology care. Work collaboratively with clinic support staff, including nurses, medical assistants, and social workers. Engage in tumor board meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans. Maintain accurate patient records using the Cerner EMR system. Monitor and manage an average of outpatient clinic patients per day. Qualifications: Current Board Certification in Medical Oncology and Hematology. Active Michigan medical license. BLS and ACLS certified. Experience in outpatient hematology and oncology care. Familiarity with Cerner EMR system preferred. Local candidates only, as no flights will be reimbursed. Licensure and Certification Requirements: Must hold a valid and active Michigan medical license (no IMLC accepted). Board Certification in Medical Oncology and Hematology is required.
