Nurse Practitioner Job Description Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our clinic. We are a gastroenterology practice that also does provide some primary care services. The ideal candidate is an individual with expertise in internal medicine or gastroenterology, who enjoys seeing patients in clinic and is dedicated to high quality patient care. The lead physician will spend time training the candidate and will always be available for consultation whenever there is a question. Our role is a flexible, part time schedule that can be tailored to the candidate's needs. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Utilize electronic health record systems for documentation and patient management. Explain endoscopic procedures, such as upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, to patients. Educate patients and their families about health management and disease prevention. Qualifications Master?s degree in Nursing or equivalent experience as a Nurse Practitioner or certification as physicians associate. Current Nurse Practitioner or PA-C license in California. Strong knowledge of physiology and clinical practices related to outpatient medicine. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
