Family Practice - Geriatrics Physician

The UT Health San Antonio Primary Care Center is currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Geriatrician to join our team. As a Geriatrician, you will provide specialized medical care to elderly patients, focusing on managing and preventing age-related health issues. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care and support. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans for elderly patients Diagnose and manage chronic conditions common in older adults Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes Educate patients and their families on aging-related health concerns and preventive measures Stay updated on advancements in geriatric medicine and implement best practices in patient care Qualifications: Board certification in Family Medicine Subspecialty certification in Geriatric Medicine is preferred Valid Texas Medical License and DEA registration Experience working as a geriatrician, preferably in a clinical setting Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team Dedication to providing compassionate care to elderly patients Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision and more TRS or ORP Retirement Plans Paid Time Off CME Allowance Occurrence Malpractice Insurance San Antonio, Texas is the State's tourist venue, enjoying a wonderful year-round climate and a wide range of cultural and recreational activities.
