Registered Nurse (RN) -Surgery Prep

Reportingto the Nurse Manager, the staff RN performs professional role functions inaccordance with scope of practice and professional standards, includingdemonstrating the knowledge and ability to use and/or lead the scope ofpractice, professional standards and accreditation / regulatory standards,scope of practice for LVN and all other nursing personnel e.g. unlicensedassistive personnel. The RN demonstrates the ability to assess their ownprofessional role performance, current knowledge of theory and principlesrelated to discipline specific practice, and the ability to use a populationbased approach to determine patient needs. Ability to meet all job & physical requirements as outlined in job description or as agreed through a work place accommodation. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Current CA Statelicensure as a Registered Nurse. 2. Current CPR certification required. 3. ACLS certification preferred upon hire, required within 90 days of hire forexperienced RN's, required within 6 months of hire for new grad RN's. 4. PALS certification preferred upon hire, required within 90 days of hire forexperienced RN's, required within 6 months of hire for new grad RN's. 5. NIHSS certificationrequired within 6 months of hire.
