Job Description

The Loss Mitigation Settlement Supervisor oversees a team of Loss Mitigation Settlement Specialists that is responsible for ensuring accurate workout completion and compliance with company policy and investor/agency guidelines. The Loss Mitigation Settlement Supervisor is responsible for keeping individual workloads within established parameters per employee and maintaining review turn times at or below established SLA. This individual will be tasked with staying up to date on all company and investor/agency guidelines and ensuring regular training and recertifications for all team members. The Loss Mitigation Settlement Supervisor must have keen attention for detail and experience in a fast-paced environment. The Loss Mitigation Settlement Supervisor reports to the AVP of Loss Mitigation. Responsibilities: Lead a team of Loss Mitigation Settlement Specialists Ensure loss mitigation agreements are timely and accurately generated, sent to customers, and executed. Ensure applicable loss mitigation agreements are recorded timely and properly. Ensure applicable property title insurance is issued for certain loss mitigation workouts. Ensure all assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met or exceed Ensure procedures are up to date with investor/agency guidelines. Oversee the day-to-day activities of direct reports through workload management, regular team meetings and 1-on-1 meetings. Conduct regular performance reviews for direct reports. Improve and Implement department processes and policy pertaining to the Loss Mitigation Settlement Process and other quality control processes within the department. Communicate with key vendors, investors, and agencies Provide oversight of vendors to ensure adherence to SLAs contained in the contracts Work with vendors to update processes when necessary Point of contact for the Investor Reporting department within Loss Mitigation Qualifications:Required: 3 -5 years' experience in loss mitigation Extensive knowledge of PMI, FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines Experience with SMDU, HSSN, WPII, Resolve, Neighborhood Watch, VALERI, and other investor systems. Knowledge of Federal and State regulations, including RESPA, TILA, ECOA, and HMDA requirements Knowledge of loan processing, underwriting, and/or closing procedures Strong analytical skills Ability to think outside the box Problem solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Strong sense of urgency with regard to problem solving, meeting challenging deadlines, and achieving goals Desired: Bachelor's degree Black Knight MSP/Back in the Black Experience Physical Demands & Working Conditions The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of their role. Ability to communicate effectively through speech and hearing, both in-person and over the phone. The employee is required to sit for extended periods of time and is occasionally required to stand and walk. Remaining in a stationary position for extended periods, frequently sitting but occasionally involving standing or walking short distances; the employee may occasionally climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regular use of hands and fingers for tasks like keyboarding, operating office equipment, and filing documents. Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds, and potentially up to 20 pounds occasionally. Ability to observe details at close range, such as viewing a computer screen, reviewing documents, and performing data analysis. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate, and no extreme conditions are present.
