Travel Mother/Baby Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift (Labor & Delivery Experience) | Madison, IN 47250 Travel Mother/Baby RN job in Madison, Indiana (47250): Join a supportive OB team at a hospital on a 13-week travel nursing contract working night shift. This role requires strong clinical experience supporting patients across Labor & Delivery (L&D), Postpartum/Mother-Baby, and Nursery care. Help families through delivery, recovery, and newborn care in a scenic Ohio River town with a walkable historic downtown and easy access to parks and outdoor recreation. Travel RN Job Details Job Title: Travel Mother/Baby Registered Nurse (RN) - L&D Experience Location: Madison, IN 47250 (Indiana travel nursing job) Start Date: 03/22/2026 End Date: 06/20/2026 Contract Duration: 13 weeks (travel/contract) Schedule: Night shift 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM with weekend rotation; 3x12 (36 hours guaranteed) Shift Duration: 12-hour nights Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week Employment Type: Travel / Contract (On-Site) Openings: 2 Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,950-$2,060 per week Mother/Baby RN (Postpartum) Job Requirements Experience: 2 years of acute care RN experience (required). Must be able to/willing to work both Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby/Postpartum, with nursery experience. License: Active Indiana RN license (required at time of submission) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN-Intermediate, NRP-Advanced, STABLE Clinical Skills: Fetal monitoring, maternal/newborn assessment, plan-of-care development, discharge planning, patient/family education, teamwork, and task prioritization EMR: Epic experience required Education: Nursing Diploma or ASN (required) Key Responsibilities (OB / Mother-Baby / L&D) Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care across L&D and Mother/Baby/Postpartum, supporting family-centered care and positive maternal-newborn outcomes Perform thorough maternal and newborn assessments/reassessments; recognize and escalate changes in condition using sound clinical judgment Initiate, prioritize, implement, and revise individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team Support intrapartum and postpartum workflows, including fetal monitoring, recovery care, and newborn/nursery support as needed Educate and coordinate care for patients and families throughout the stay and at discharge (recovery, newborn care, feeding support, and safety) Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and on time in Epic Delegate appropriately to licensed and unlicensed staff; serve as a mentor/preceptor when needed Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement efforts while promoting a safe, clean, and secure care environment Apply now to join our healthcare team for this Travel Mother/Baby RN night-shift contract in Madison, IN.
