Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Duration: Ongoing 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Staff PAY: $33.00 – $52.80/hour (based on 2–20 years of experience ) SIGN-ON BONUS: Up to $20,000 RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: Up to $2,500 reimbursement REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – CLINICAL DECISION UNIT (CDU) Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire Shift: Variable (Days / Evenings / Nights) POSITION OVERVIEW The Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care for cardiac and cardiac/peripheral vascular patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring and limited critical infusions. This permanent, direct-hire role offers strong clinical exposure, interdisciplinary collaboration, and long-term growth in a fast-paced acute care environment. The CDU RN delivers patient-centered care using ANA Standards and the Nursing Process while serving as a patient advocate and educator. SHIFT DETAILS Assigned to day, evening, night, or rotating shifts per departmental policy Scheduled off at least three holidays per year Required to work weekends based on unit needs Occasional overtime expected COMPENSATION & INCENTIVES Hourly rate: $33.00 – $52.80/hour (commensurate with experience) Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus Up to $2,500 relocation reimbursement Comprehensive benefits package Tuition assistance and professional development support KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care using ANA standards and the Nursing Process Provide direct nursing care to CDU patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring Manage patients undergoing cardiac and cardiac/peripheral vascular procedures Act as a patient advocate in a high-acuity clinical environment Safely administer medications and monitor patient responses Utilize clinical equipment and advanced technology competently Educate patients and families on treatment plans and self-care needs Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record REQUIREMENTS Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of permanent residency American Heart Association BLS certification required ACLS required within 12 months of employment NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification obtained during orientation Acute care or telemetry experience preferred WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY This role is ideal for nurses seeking a cardiac-focused environment with strong monitoring skills, clinical variety, and advancement opportunities without full ICU acuity.
