Job Description Job Description LEAD Program Coordinator for Christian Afterschool and Summer Program MentorKids USA is a Christian organization that equips and empowers youth to be transformative leaders in their lives, their families, and their communities. Position Summary: We are seeking a passionate and organized LEAD Program Coordinator for the 2025-2026 school year to oversee the day-to-day operations of our afterschool and summer programs in our Maryvale Promise Neighborhood, serving up to 80 K-8th grade students. This full-time role involves planning and leading enrichment activities, supervising staff and volunteers, and creating a safe and engaging environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, relational, and has experience in youth ministry or education. They will bring a heart for discipleship, strong classroom or behavior management skills, and a commitment to engaging youth, families, and the community. This individual will also foster an atmosphere that promotes spiritual growth, academic success, and leadership development. Schedule:After-School Program (August-May): Monday-Thursday, 12:00-6:00 PMFlexibility to work remotely during non-program hoursSummer Program (June): Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM (4 weeks) Key Responsibilities:Lead daily on-site operations of afterschool and summer programsImplement structured programming that includes academic support, spiritual development, leadership training, and extra-curricular activities such as sports and danceSupervise and support program staff, volunteers, and iLEADersEnsure a safe, welcoming, and values-aligned environment for all participantsTrack and manage student attendance, behavior, and engagement; maintain recordsCommunicate regularly with parents, school staff, and community partnersOversee program supplies, equipment, staying within program budgetLead team meetings and training sessions for staff and volunteersEvaluate program effectiveness and implement improvementsDrive students from school to the program site using a MentorKids-provided 15-passenger vanSupport Neighborhood Manager with event planning for scheduled eventsMeet weekly with the Program Neighborhood ManagerStep into leadership roles in the absence of the Neighborhood Manager QualificationsMinimum 2 years of youth ministry, teaching, or related experience (certification not required)Bilingual in English and Spanish requiredA growing and vibrant Christian faithCommitment to the mission and core values of MentorKids USAStrong leadership, collaboration, communication, and organizational skillsMust be 21+ years old with a valid Arizona driver's licenseMust be able to pass a fingerprint clearance background check Company Description MentorKids USA is a Christian based organization that equips and empowers youth to be transformative leaders in their lives, their families, and their communities.
