Rheumatology Physician

A New York City-based healthcare network is actively seeking a licensed Rheumatologist to join one of its practices in Queens. About the Opportunity: Schedule: Monday to Friday (with one Saturday per month; day off the Monday after working a Saturday) Hours: 9am to 5pm (with one later day per week) Patient Volume: 2 to 3 per hour Responsibilities: Review patient history and perform physical examinations Evaluate, diagnose, and provide appropriate treatment and patient care Recommend and order lab tests including X-rays of the joints to determine extent of illness or help diagnose conditions Diagnose disorders and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and immune system. Diagnose and treat rheumatic disorders of the skeletal system, muscles, and joints Treat patients with rheumatic diseases including, but not limited to lupus, tendonitis, arthritis, myositis, scleroderma, and osteoporosis Prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs and other medications Formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans Qualifications: 1+ year of experience in an Outpatient setting Current unrestricted NYS medical license Board Certified/Board Eligible in Rheumatology
