Job Description

Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. Enforce company health and safety programs to meet or exceed all MSHA and other regulatory standards. Conduct regular facility inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with all safety protocols Ensure proper and timely reporting of all incidents, injuries, and health hazards to MSHA and company leadership. Lead incident investigations, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Promote and enforce a proactive safety culture where every employee is accountable for safety. Plan, organize, and direct daily production activities and resource allocation to optimize productivity. Manage the operational budget, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and control costs. Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure all mining equipment and facilities are maintained in safe, reliable, and compliant condition. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Troubleshoot operational problems and provide clear, actionable solutions. Supervise, train, and mentor production personnel, including frontline supervisors, to build a high-performing and motivated team. Assist in personnel actions such as hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy. Conduct comprehensive MSHA-aligned training for all miners, covering new miner orientation, annual refresher courses, and task-specific training. Ensure compliance with all State and Federal Safety and Environmental regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
