We are seeking an Optometrist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment with our client in California, starting Feb 17, 2026. This full-time opportunity offers a Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm schedule, focused on providing exams, annual check-ups, and vision care in a diverse clinical environment. Job Details Location: California Start Date: Feb 17, 2026 LOA: 60 days Provider Type Needed: Optometrist Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm Responsibilities and Duties Perform comprehensive eye exams and yearly check-ups Diagnose and treat vision conditions Manage a patient population that is approximately 75 percent Spanish speaking, with access to translators and Spanish-speaking medical assistants Serve a patient base with 78 percent Medical/Medicaid coverage Additional Information Minimum 1 year of recent optometry experience required; candidates with recent employment gaps will not be considered Active California DEA and Furnishing license required Board certification in Optometry required Locum and FQHC/Rural Health/IHS experience is favorable Experience with Epic EMR is preferred Providers should confirm any anticipated time off prior to submission Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
