Position Overview: Full-time 1099 role 12-hour shifts Approx. 2 patients per hour ED volume Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support provided Malpractice and tail insurance included Key Responsibilities: Deliver emergency care in a high-efficiency, community hospital setting Direct and coordinate resuscitations and acute interventions Partner with APPs to streamline care Accurately document patient care in the EMR system Contribute to departmental performance and patient safety efforts Requirements: ABEM board certified Must have or be eligible for California medical license Proven ability to collaborate in a fast-paced ED setting Physical Demands: This physician/APP role requires stamina in fast-paced healthcare: prolonged standing/walking (8-12 hrs/shift); rapid emergency movement (sprints, crowds); lifting/carrying 25-50 lbs equipment; pushing/pulling 100 lbs (beds/carts) with aid; frequent bending/stooping/kneeling for care; constant reaching/fine motor skills (suturing/IVs); occasional climbing/balancing; tolerating stressors (temps, noise, fluids, hazards) during irregular shifts/on-call/infection risks accommodations for disabilities; varies by setting (clinic/ER).
