Gastroenterology Physician

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to provide locum call coverage at its facility in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. This urgent assignment offers an excellent opportunity to support an established team in a well-equipped, Level I Trauma Center environment. Opportunity Overview Location: Johnstown, Pennsylvania Facility: Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center LifePoint Health Start Date: October 27, 2025 End Date: October 31, 2025- future dates TBD Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient (both required) Coverage Type: Call Only (Beeper Call) Call Ratio: 1:7 Response Time: 30 minutes Assignment Details Dates: October , 2025 Shift Type: Beeper call coverage for inpatient and outpatient consults Consult Volume: 5 10 inpatient consults per day (when on call) Privileges: Required (Emergency/Temporary privileges available) EMR: Epic Estimated Credentialing Time: 5 days Support Staff: No APP supervision required Procedures Must be comfortable performing: Upper and lower GI endoscopy (diagnostic and therapeutic) Biopsies, polypectomies, and PEG placements Esophageal dilatation and manometry Small bowel biopsy and sigmoidoscopy Requirements Board Certified / Eligible in Gastroenterology (within 5 years of residency) BLS Certification Active Pennsylvania License or IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact accepted) Must hold current hospital/surgery center privileges to obtain temporary privileges.
