Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary: $2150-$2310/week Job Details Location: Morristown, New Jersey (07960) - MRI jobs in New Jersey / Morristown healthcare Assignment Type: Travel (Travel MRI Technologist) Setting: Hospital Outpatient Radiology / High-volume MRI department Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Shift Schedule: Tuesdays: 1pm - 9pm Wednesdays: 1pm - 9pm Thursdays: 1pm - 9pm Fridays: 11am - 7pm Saturdays: 7am - 3pm Shift Duration: 8 Hour Evenings Start Date: April 6, 2026 End Date: July 4, 2026 Contract Length: 13 weeks Qualifications / Job Requirements 1-3 years of experience as an MRI Technologist (Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist) Advanced proficiency with GE MRI systems (GE Healthcare MRI experience preferred) Experience in high-volume settings with efficient 30-minute patient scheduling IV placement and contrast administration experience required (contrast-enhanced MRI) Graduate of an accredited radiology or MRI program Active New Jersey RT License (State RT License) MR Certification BLS Certification Strong critical thinking, communication, and workflow management skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a hospital radiology environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and experience with PACS/RIS systems is a plus Responsibilities Position patients and place appropriate coils for MRI scans following radiologist protocols and institutional standards Perform patient screening, MRI safety checks, and metal-object precautions prior to imaging Communicate effectively with patients during examinations using microphone systems and provide clear instructions Enter and verify patient data, scan sequences, and technical parameters in the MRI system (PACS/RIS) Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout procedures via control room and CCTV Ensure high-quality imaging and maintain workflow efficiency in a busy outpatient/hospital setting Administer IV contrast according to protocol and document contrast usage accurately Coordinate with radiologists, nursing, and technologist staff to support smooth operations Adhere to MRI safety policies and report any safety concerns or incidents Perform other duties as assigned to support radiology operations and patient care Experience the best of Morristown, NJ-a community offering a blend of history, culture, dining, and outdoor recreation-while advancing your career as a valued MRI Technologist.
