We are searching for a detail-oriented Unit Manager interested in coordinating and directing security and treatment programs at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Fayette. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring programs within a designated housing unit. Work involves developing the unit mission statement, operational goals, objectives, and procedures that are most effective and specialized to meet the needs of the unit. In this role, you will also be monitoring housekeeping plans, security practices, and treatment services, as well as ensuring compliance with DOC policies and standards. You will have the opportunity to oversee a multi-disciplinary team, resolving problems, addressing staff and inmate concerns, and developing pro-active methods of resolving conflicts between staff and inmates. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of professional experience in a correctional institution/facility in correctional security, treatment, quasi-judicial hearings or counseling; or An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes two years of professional experience in a correctional institution/facility in correctional security, treatment, quasi-judicial hearings or counseling.
