Job Description CTR Group is seeking several Journeyman Industrial/Commercial Electricians in Portsmouth, VA. Immediate openings and urgently hiring! POSITION PURPOSE Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and updating electrical equipment throughout the Company. Installs power sources and wiring, troubleshoots electrical problems, restores power when failures occur, and designs circuitry for special projects. Maintains parts inventory, completes work order records, and files all related paperwork. Assists area staff as required, responds to special requests, and keeps management well-informed of area activities and of any significant problems. Essential Functions Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on motors, wiring, controls, and electricalmechanical equipment. Install, maintain, and modify electrical systems; design basic circuitry when needed. Restore power during outages, reset equipment, and ensure safe operation following NEC, OSHA, NFPA, and company safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout. Read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints. Inspect equipment, identify additional maintenance needs, and monitor contractor work. Document work performed, materials used, inspections, and test results; maintain updated schematics and supply inventory. Support other departments, communicate issues to management, and attend required meetings. Maintain a clean, safe work area; send parts out for repair; complete special projects as assigned.
