Job Details Job Title: Travel Surgical Technologist / Surgical Tech - Operating Room Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15213 (Pittsburgh healthcare jobs, Pennsylvania travel healthcare) Setting: Hospital - Operating Room (OR) Assignment Type: Travel assignment (13 weeks) Start Date: March 30, 2026 End Date: June 28, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shifts: 12-hour night shifts, rotating (weekend, holiday, on-call coverage) Hours per Week: 36 Scrubs: Provided Parking: Lease available starting at $80/month Number of Openings: 4 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,630 - $1,750/week Qualifications / Job Requirements Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program Current Surgical Technician certification (Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent) Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Tech in a hospital operating room setting Comfortable covering a variety of surgical specialties during evenings, nights, and weekends Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and take on-call assignments as needed Responsibilities Assist in a wide range of surgical procedures including vascular (open and endovascular), spine (neurosurgery and orthopedic), craniotomy, orthopedic trauma, general surgery (open and MIS), thoracic, plastic (flaps), ENT (trach), oral and maxillofacial, robotic-assisted cases, trauma (head, chest, abdomen), and transplants (kidney/liver) Prepare operating rooms and ensure all instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and available-maintain sterile field and strict aseptic technique Work collaboratively with surgeons, perioperative nurses, anesthesia, and OR staff to ensure optimal patient care and efficient case flow Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control policies in the OR Support agency nurses and assist with scrub duties to help address staffing needs during high-volume or off-shift periods Why Join This Travel OR Assignment?
