Job Full Description Job Title: Skilled CarpenterSchedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PMPay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour (depending on experience)Travel: Paid travel to Sanibel; Sanibel Island toll coveredJob Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Carpenter with extensive experience in all facets of construction, including framing and trim carpentry. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows direction well, and consistently delivers high-quality results while maintaining safety and organization on the job site. Responsibilities: Perform framing, trim, and general carpentry work in residential and remodeling projects Measure, cut, smooth, and install lumber and other materials accurately Build scaffolding and other temporary construction structures as needed Operate electrical and manual tools safely and efficiently Read and follow instructions, plans, and job specifications Work independently and collaboratively across multiple scopes of work Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times Requirements: Fluent English communication skills required Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in framing and trim carpentry Solid knowledge of general construction and remodeling practices Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, materials, and wood properties Proficient in using measurement tools and electrical/manual equipment Good basic math and problem-solving skills Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks including reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and crawling Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated surfaces Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (pickup truck preferred) Proper work clothing and work boots required on site No smoking or vaping permitted on the job site Tools Required: Must provide own tools, including but not limited to: Work belt and hand tools Chop saw, table saw, and skill saw Sawzall, impact driver Framing square, cat's paw, flat bar Nail guns and air compressor Ideal Candidate: Takes pride in craftsmanship and attention to detail Maintains a positive attitude and strong work ethic Willing to do what it takes to complete projects efficiently and accurately Follows all safety guidelines and company standards About Express Employment Professionals: Express can help you find the type of job that is a perfect fit for your needs and abilities, and you'll never pay a fee for our services and support; we are a Human Resources Solution company assisting business in finding top talent.
